‘Browsing Copy’: the Unloved Books


quote [“Browsing Copy”, an online exhibition launched last month, showcases 25 once hard-to-sell books which have been transformed into collectible art works. They are the creations of 20 Singaporean and five overseas designers, ranging from established artists such as Chris Lee of Asylum and Hanson Ho of H55 to emerging talents such as Singaporean illustrator Cherie Tan and Hong Kong designer Javin Mo. Mr. Poh started “Browsing Copy” after he found his daughter drawing on his books and magazines. “Not to discourage her artistic (mis)behaviour, I passed her very old books instead,” he says].
