Tianmen cave: a Glass Sky Walk

quoted via Jared Miles [One of the main attractions of Tianmen Mountain is Tianmen cave, which is technically not a cave. Rather, it is a water-eroded hole in the cliff face, with the highest elevation of it's kind in the world. It can be seen in the image above. Tianmen Mountain is able to lay claim to the longest cableway in the world, spanning a distance of 7455 metres along, over a rise of 1300 kilometres. If the altitude wasn't enough to dissuade you, the adrenaline-junkies that likely run the development of the park have created The Walk of Faith, a journey consisting of several kilometres of glass walkways squared against the cliff face. Released towards the end of April 2013, Last Night I Drempt of a Tea Ceremony is a new film by Marc Blackie & Disappointed Virginity.

Filmed one Friday afternoon in a North London Kitchen, with music by These Papercuts Project and performed by Lian Cooper, Last Night I Drempt of a Tea Ceremony can be described as usual for Blackie "A blend of the erotic, the surreal and the anhedonic".

I spent a while trying to locate an electric oven to recreate one of the scenes from the original short and discovered that such appliances are increasingly uncommon in the United Kingdom. Marc Blackie is a London based surrealist erotic photographer and film maker. Under the banner of “Disappointed Virginity”, Marc Blackie has created for himself a self contained monochrome world. Miroslav Tichý Photography

Miroslav Tichý (1926 – 2011) was a photographer who from the 1960s until 1985 took thousands of surreptitious pictures of women in his hometown of Kyjov in the Czech Republic, using homemade cameras constructed of cardboard tubes, tin cans and other at-hand materials.

Most of his subjects were unaware they are being photographed. A few struck beauty-pageant poses when they sighted him, perhaps not realizing that the parody of a camera he carried was real.
